The content of this post is so important that I will write it in English. As I am doing all the analysis: clustering, t-tests, clear tests for all the tumors and malignant samples we have, I noticed one. One sample, a tumor sample coming from a Chinese man who has been having a stage 1 liver cancer for over 5 years. His name: number 56*75 coming from the NCC in Singapore.
This sample is falsing all my clusters. It is miles away from the other stage 1 tumors, the statistical tests show that it is closer to non malignant samples or even "normal human liver"... Why? Because this man is superman! Maybe the next Lance armstrong, I don't know... So if you recognize yourself, if you are M. 56*75, don't worry. Hakuna Matata. You have so much immune cells in your blood, you are so powerful that really you should not worry. And instead of thinking at your cancer, think about your future as a sports man!
I have also another message to get through. We have a little problem to get samples of "normal" human liver (all the normal liver go for transplantations and not research :( ), and some samples from gastric cancer. Yesterday, we were expecting one gastric sample. The lab was just excited and everyone waiting for the blood, ready to do his job as fast as possible in order to have a non degraded RNA... The atmosphere was close to the pressure during a pit stop, all waiting for Fisichella to rush in. But at the last minute, the patient refused to sign for one more biopsy. And everyone got back to seminars... It's like the mecanicians looking at the race after the withdrawal of their driver.
